Gloebit Founder & CEO
San Francisco, CA, USA
Christopher Colosi is the founder & CEO of Gloebit, a digital currency web service providing in-app micro-payments and user-to-user transactions for digital commerce. His vision for a single currency across VR began taking shape in 2016 with the launch and adoption of the OpenSim Gloebit Money Module Beta.
Christopher's focus on digital currency and VR commerce originated when he joined Linden Lab in 2007. There, he acquired and managed Second Life’s web marketplace for virtual goods. In 2010, he restored stability to the Linden Dollar, and then assumed oversight of the Lindex, a $100M/yr Linden Dollar to US Dollar exchange, as well as the entire $500M/yr ecosystem, serving as the effective federal reserve chair of Second Life.
Christopher co-founded Windward Mark Interactive, a video game company best known for its WindLight graphics technology, which was acquired by Linden Lab. Christopher has a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University.
The Gloebit Money Module is a drop in plugin which is easy to configure. Many avatars can be tied to a single account with a single gloebit currency balance. Even hypergrid visitors can link to their Gloebit account with a single click and spend on your grid. http://dev.gloebit.com/opensim/
