CoolCat Maximus here... I'm a local (Berkeley/Oakland) SL fan and a resident for almost 10 years. I most love SL for the live music scene and for the creativity/fun that building in-world provides. In SL I play a Hippie, Stoner, Deadhead and I hang out at the DarkStar sim. There I also have a Home and a Garden. I also have made a Gallery of images from a festival in India... (see the link) In RL, I have a special love for India and have been there on 11 visits so far... The amazing people and heavenly mountains are very close to my heart as are some of the oldest temples and spiritual places... The most incredible experience I have had in India is visiting the Maha Kumbh Mela, a Hindu bathing festival that celebrates the nectar of Immortality, according to ancient myth, and hosts over a million Monks, Sadhus and Babas for the month long event. However, at the festival in 2001, on the main bathing day, during a grand procession of monks, the crowd grew to be over 24 million hindu pilgrims. In 2013, it was 36 million. This awesome festival is held every 12 years on the banks of the Ganges River, and the next big one is in January of 2025...
